How to Add Existing Clips to your Video Generations

Using your existing clips is one of the most efficient ways to elevate your content without starting from scratch.


The Clips feature allows you to repurpose previously created video segments and combine them into a single, cohesive video. Instead of generating new content from scratch, you can leverage your existing Caimera library to save both time and credits.


Pull from your video history, arrange clips on the timeline, and export a polished final cut in just a few steps.


đź’ˇThis feature is perfect for creating multi-look or multi-product showcase videos using your existing generations.


Getting Started: Access Your Clips Library


Step 1: Navigate to the Video tool from the home page.

Step 2: Navigate to the video you want to build on and edit in the 'History' section.


Step 2: Select the video you want to edit from the “History” section.



Step 3: Click the Clips button located in the left-hand toolbar to open your library.


Step 3: Click on the “Clips” button in the left-hand toolbar.



Step 4: Browse the panel and select the clip you want to add

How to Add Clips to Your Timeline


Adding clips lets you build a narrative by layering in previously generated content.


  1. Scroll through your library in the left-hand panel to find the assets you need.
  2. Click on a specific clip to add it. Once selected, the clip will automatically appear in the Timeline section at the bottom. Simply, click on a clip and drag it to a new position on the timeline to change its order.


Step 1: Click '+' on the clip to add it to the timeline.


Step 2: Drag and drop the clip to rearrange its position.


How to Scale and Reposition Clips


You can adjust how a clip fits within your video frame to ensure the focus remains on the right details.


  • To Reposition: Click on the clip within the video preview and drag it to your desired spot.
  • To Scale: Click and drag the edges of the frame to scale the clip up or down.



Step 1: Drag and drop the clip in the preview to reposition it.


Step 2: Adjust the frame edges to scale the clip.


Preview and Download: Finalize Your Video


Before exporting, scrub through your full sequence to make sure everything flows the way you want.


Step 1: Click the clips bar at the bottom of the screen.


Step 2: Use the red scrubber line to move through the timeline and preview your combined sequence.


Step 3: Once satisfied, click 'Download' in the top-right corner to save your final video.
