Build your first workflow in the Workflows Tool

This step-by-step guide walks you through a simple workflow: one product image, one edit, one result. Once it works on one image, you'll turn it into a batch so the same edit runs on many products.

Before you start, have one product image ready, or a product already saved in your Caimera Library.

Step 1: Create a workflow. Go to Workflows in the left navigation and click + Create Workflow in the top right.

Navigate to the Workflows tool

Click + Create Workflow in the top right

Step 2: Name your workflow. A new, empty canvas opens. Give your workflow a name your team will recognize, such as "Catalog shots".

New empty canvas

Step 3: Add an input. Click + Add node in the center, or right-click anywhere on the empty canvas. Choose Image under Input.

Click + Add node and choose Image under Input

For this guide, choose Image. You'll use Batch Input in Step 10. To compare all three input nodes, see Add images and text: Image, Batch Input and Prompt nodes.

Add your product photo to the Image node using any of these options:

  • Paste: Copy and paste an image directly.
  • Phone: Upload an image from your phone.
  • Library: Select an image already saved in your Caimera Library.
  • More: Import images from Google Drive or other connected sources.

Step 4: Add an Edit Image node. Open the Add node menu again and choose Edit Image under Generate & Edit. You can also click the + on the right edge of the Image node (Add connected node) to add a node that's already connected. If you do this, skip Step 5.

Step 5: Connect the nodes. Drag from the right edge of the Image node to the Image input on the left of the Edit Image node. A line appears between them.

Connect the nodes

Step 6: Describe the change. In the Edit Image prompt box, describe the edit you want. To point the prompt at a specific image, type $ or @ to see the inputs connected to this node. Pick one to add its tag to your prompt, so Caimera knows exactly which image you mean: your source product or a reference.

This example also uses a second Image node holding a model photo, tagged @ref-image-1:

Change the model in @ref-image-1 to a blonde model with bouncy, blow-dried short hair and doe eyes. Keep the same pose, background and styling. Dress the model in the skirt from @image with a black top.

Only connected nodes appear in the list. If an input is missing, check that its node is connected to the left side of the Edit Image node.

Describe the change

Step 7: Pick the engine, resolution and aspect ratio. At the bottom of the node, choose:

  • Engine: Fast, Pro or Max
  • Resolution: 1K or 2K
  • Aspect ratio: Auto keeps the shape of your input image

Not sure which engine to use? See Choosing the right model for how the engines (also called models) differ and which one suits each kind of job.

Tip: Start with Fast at 1K while you test. Switch to a higher setting once you're happy with the result.

Pick the engine, resolution and aspect ratio

Step 8: Run the node. The Run button shows how many credits the run will use. Click Run. When it finishes, the result appears on the node.

Run the node

Step 9: Preview and download. Click the result to open the preview. From here you can download it, add it back to the canvas, or open it in the Editor.

Step 10: Turn it into a batch. To run the same edit on many products:

  1. Add a Batch Input node, or convert your Image node into a Batch Input: click ⋯ on the Image node and choose Convert to Batch node. Converting keeps your existing connections.
  2. Add up to 100 product images.
  3. Click Run All at the top.

Image requirements:

  • Formats: PNG, JPG/JPEG, WebP or SVG
  • Size: at least 512 × 512 px; 1500 px or larger recommended

Batch Run stays grayed out until a Batch Input node is connected.

FAQs

  1. Why is Batch Run grayed out?

Batch Run needs a Batch Input node. Add one and connect it, and Batch Run becomes available.

  1. Do I have to run the whole workflow every time?

No. Every node has its own Run button, so you can test one step at a time. Use Run All when you want every node to run.

  1. How much will it cost?

Each node's Run button shows its credit cost before you click it. See Credits Usage for costs across Caimera's tools.
