Guide to Image generation and Edit Models: Choosing the Right Model
Caimera offers three image models — Fast, Pro and Max for both image generation and image editing. You'll find the model selector across tools, including the Editorial tool, Upload & Edit, and Create from Scratch.
The model you pick affects three things: how closely your prompt is followed, the quality of the output, and how many credits you spend.

The models
Fast
Our quickest and cheapest model, built for exploring ideas. Use it to brainstorm, test concepts and make lighter edits or generations. It follows prompts, but avoid it for very long or complex instructions.
Pro
The balance between Fast and Max, in both speed and credits. It doesn't take long to generate, and it gives noticeably better quality and prompt adherence than Fast. Choose Pro when you need production-ready results without Max's cost or wait.
Max
Our highest-quality and most expensive model. It takes longer to generate but delivers the sharpest detail, texture and clarity. Use it for:
- Highly detailed prints, fabrics and garments
- Long, detailed prompts that need precise adherence
- Pulling elements from a reference or swapping items
- Complex use cases
Max has a stricter NSFW filter than Fast and Pro, and is only available at 1K and 2K.
Plans, free generations and credits
Unlimited free generations apply only at 1K resolution. Any other resolution is charged, even on a model that is free at 1K.

- 2K and 4K are charged for every model, on every plan.
- The credit cost for your selected model and resolution appears as a number on the Edit/Generate button before you run it.

FAQs
- Which model is free on my plan?
Fast is free at 1K on Starter, Pro and Enterprise. Pro is free at 1K on Pro and Enterprise. Max is never free. On the Mini plan, every generation is charged.
- Why was I charged credits on a free model?
Free generations apply only at 1K. Selecting 2K or 4K on any model uses credits.
- How do I know what a generation will cost before I run it?
The credit cost appears as a number on the Edit/Generate button once you've picked a model and resolution.
- Why can't I select 4K with Max?
Max is available only at 1K and 2K. For 4K output, use Fast or Pro.
- Why is my Max generation taking longer?
Max is our slowest model because it produces the highest detail. Longer load times are expected.
- My lingerie or swimwear image was blocked. What should I do?
Max has a stricter NSFW filter. Switch to Fast or Pro, which have lower filters, for underwear, bikini and lingerie shoots.
- My long prompt isn't being followed. What should I change?
Switch to Max. It handles long, detailed prompts and reference-based swaps best. Fast is not recommended for complex prompts.
- Are these models the same across all tools?
Yes. Fast, Pro and Max are available for both generation and editing across tools, including the Editorial tool, Upload & Edit, and Create from Scratch.
