Resize & Pad Images: Pad mode
Image resizing is essential for fashion and e-commerce brands, impacting website performance, user experience, and ultimately, sales.
The Resize & Pad tool (under Design → Editor) gives you complete control over image dimensions and positioning. It has two modes, switched with a toggle inside the tool:
- Pad mode (this article): add padding around your images while keeping their original size. Perfect for creating consistent spacing or adding borders.
- Resize mode: resize images and control where the subject sits. See Resize & Pad Images: Resize mode.
Each processed image costs 1 credit.
Step 1: Open Resize & Pad from the home page or the Editor's tool switcher.
Step 2: Choose Pad mode to add padding around your images while maintaining their original size.
Step 3: Upload all the images you want to work with.
Step 4: Enter the padding values in pixels for each side—top, bottom, left, and right.
Step 5: Customize the background color using HEX codes, RGB, or HSL values
Step 6: You can also use the eye dropper tool to pick a color from the input images.
Step 7: Once you've added all your images, reviewed all the padding on the four sides, and picked a background color, click Generate.
Step 8: Your updated images will appear in the History section.
Step 9: Download these images by clicking on the Download button.
