Question 2

FAQs on Credits and Plans

Accepted Answer

Q: Why do I need credits? A: Credits are tokens required to perform certain actions on Caimera. Learn more about Credits Usage.

Q: When do credits expire? / What happens to my unused credits? A: Unused credits never expire and will roll over. You can roll over an unlimited number of credits as long as your subscription remains active. If you cancel your subscription, your credits will remain available until the end of your current billing cycle. Once that billing cycle completes and your subscription ends, any remaining credits will be lost.

Q: What does unlimited generations mean? What is your fair usage policy? A: Unlimited image generation applies to the Editorial Images tool once a product is added, on specific models and plans:

Starter: unlimited generations and edits on the Fast model at 1K.
Pro / Enterprise: unlimited generations and edits on the Fast and Pro models at 1K.

Higher resolutions (2K and 4K) and the Max model always consume credits. The Free and Mini plans consume credits on every generation. Unlimited generations means no more stressing about credits and tokens on those models: create as many images as you like. See the full breakdown in Credits Usage.

Q: Can my admin limit how many credits I use? A: Yes. Workspace admins can set a personal credit limit on each member, capping how many credits that pe

Question 3

Credits Usage

Accepted Answer

Caimera uses a credits system across image and video tools, with different prices depending on your plan (Free, Mini, Starter, Pro). Some actions are unlimited on specific models and plans, while others consume credits per image or per second of video.

|| The exact credit cost of any action is always shown on the Generate / Edit / Upscale button before you click it.

Personal credit limits

Workspace admins can cap how many credits each member is able to use in a month, so one person's batch job can't drain the whole workspace.

Limits are set per member by an admin, and reset on the 1st of each month.
If you have a limit, you can request a higher one once less than 40% of your credits remain.
A 24-hour cooldown stops duplicate requests. It clears as soon as an admin raises or removes your limit.

Admins manage limits, and see how the team is spending, under Settings Page: https://app.caimera.ai/settings → Users → ⋮ → Set Credit Limit.

Question 4

The Ultimate Guide to Choosing the Right Upscaler

Accepted Answer

Upscaling is the last step in the image generation process after applying products, editing, or resizing layers. Upscalers add more detail to the image and increase the image resolution.

Upscalers intelligently add missing detail and increase image resolution, going far beyond simple pixel stretching to deliver production-ready, high-quality outputs. Editorial Images generates natively at up to 4K; upscaling takes any image, including 4K generations, all the way up to 14K.

Navigate to the left toolbar and click on the Upscale icon, then use the dropdown menu to switch between the Fluid, Crystal, and SeedVR Upscalers.

Select the Upscale icon from the left toolbar, then use the dropdown menu to choose between Upscalers.

The best upscaler for your image depends on the garment type, the level of skin detail needed, whether text or logos are present, and how large you need the final file to be.

1. Fluid Upscaler

Fluid is one of our legacy upscalers, renowned for providing the best skin texture enhancement with smooth, natural transitions. It outputs at 4K and is included free on paid plans.

✅ Best for:

Medium to minimal texture garments (t-shirts, simple silhouettes)
Images where background greenery and smooth skin are priorities
Close-up model shots where hyper-real skin is the goal

🚫 Avoid when: Your image has very fine textures, detai

Question 5

Input image guidelines for the Editorial Images Tool

Accepted Answer

To achieve the highest-quality results, make sure your product images follow these guidelines when adding your products to the platform.

1. Accepted Image Types You can upload any of the following image types:

Flat lay images
Mannequin shots
On-model images || Note: For on-model shots and flatlays, ensure all garment details are clearly visible and unobstructed.

2. Number of Input Images You can upload 1–6 images for each product. For the best results, upload images from the same angles you want to generate (e.g., front, back, side, or 3/4 view).

When generating an image, select the matching input angle the AI references only the selected image, not all uploaded images.

Multiple angles simply give you the flexibility to generate accurate views from different perspectives. You can upload upto 6 images of the same product from different angles, such as:

Front view
Back view
Side view
3/4 view
Lighting: Bright, even lighting is essential. Use either studio lighting or outdoor lighting with a high-contrast or white backdrop.
Resolution: Minimum 768px resolution, Recommended 1536px
Garment preparation: The garment should be well-ironed, without any creases.
Hand placement: For on-model or mannequin shots, hands should be kept at the sides and not on top of the garment.

Proration is a billing adjustment that ensures you pay fairly when you change your subscription plan during a billing cycle. When you upgrade or downgrade, we calculate charges based on the time remaining in your current billing period.

Key Points:

Prorations happen when you upgrade, downgrade your plan, or change the number of seats
You pay for what you use and receive credit for unused time
Prorations are calculated automatically by Stripe and our system

|| Note: Cancellations happen at the end of the billing cycle, so no proration is needed

How It Works

When you change your subscription, two separate calculations happen:

1. Financial Proration (Stripe)

Adjustments to your subscription charges on invoices. This determines what you pay or receive as a credit.

2. Credit Proration (On Caimera)

Adjustments to available credits in your account balance. This determines how many credits are added or removed.

Both happen at the same time but serve different purposes.

Scenarios

Upgrading Your Plan

If you upgrade on day 10 of a 30-day cycle:

You'll be credited for the remaining 20 days at your old plan rate
You'll be charged for the remaining 20 days at your new plan rate
The difference is added to your next invoice or deducted if you're due a refund

Downgrading Your Plan

If you downgrade on day 15 of a 30-day cycle:

You'll be credited for the remaining 15 days at your old plan rate
You'll be charged fo
