How to Create, Add and Use Custom Models on Caimera
Custom models let you lock in a consistent face and look across all your Caimera images, so every lifestyle campaign, PDP, and lookbook feels on-brand.
You can use the same model for different products, poses, and backgrounds without retraining or starting from scratch each time.
You can create and add your custom models on Caimera on the Pro and Enterprise Plans.
Teams typically add custom models when they:
- Want a signature brand/model that repeats across campaigns and catalogs for stronger storytelling.
- Need to match a real-world model, ambassador, or house model they already use in shoots, at a fraction of production time.
- Are scaling content (seasonal drops, marketplaces, ads) and need fast, high-volume visuals that still look like “them,” not generic AI.
- Must keep assets private and compliant, with models that are only visible inside their own workspace.
You can either create a model on Caimera or upload an existing model that you have.
Creating a New Model:
Step 1: Navigate to the Editorial Images tool from the home page

Step 2: Navigate to the 'Refine Image' page by clicking on 'View past generations'

Step 3: Click on the 'Select consistent model' button.

Step 4: Click on the 'Create custom model' button

Step 5: Read the 'Adding Model Guidelines' to ensure the images you upload meet all requirements (framing, lighting, angles).

Step 6: Click on 'Generate from scratch'

The 'Create from Scratch' tool will open up in a new browser tab.
Generating the Model Images:
Step 7 : Generate the full body image first. Prompt the kind of model you want to create. Include keywords like-
- Model's age
- Model's ethnicity
- Model's body size and shape
- Model's Skin color
- Model's hair color, texture, hairstyle
- Model's facial features like freckles, bushy arched eyebrows
- Style the model in simple outfits like a t-shirt and shorts

Refine the model by using the 'Edit this image' tool at the bottom.

Step 8: Create a close up shot of the same model using the same 'Edit This Image' feature. A prompt that can be used to get a close up shot:
make it a zoomed in upper body portrait shot of the model

Your edited images are available on the right side of the image under 'Layers'

Step 9: Upscale both the full body shot and the close up to ensure the model has good skin texture and detail.

Step 10: Download the upscaled full body and close up images.

Step 11: Navigate back to the Editorial tool in the previous browser tab or you can also navigate to the Home page and go the Editorial tool from the home page as shown in Step 1.
Step 12: Upload the full body and the close up images just created. Give the model a name and select the gender from the dropdown. Click 'Next'.

Step 13: Review the uploaded images and read through the compliance instructions for uploading images. Tick all compliance checkboxes and click 'Create your model'; your custom model will now be added exclusively to your workspace.
