How to Use the Catalog Images Tool (Flat Lay to Catalog)

The Catalog Images tool is Caimera's bulk generator. You give it flat lay product shots, pick a model, poses and a background once, and it returns a full set of on-model catalog images — many outfits in a single job.

Before you start

📦 One job, multiple outfits: Upload a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 30 outfits per job.

  • Supported formats: PNG, JPG and WEBP.
  • Front and back views: if you select a back-view pose, a back image is mandatory. If you only need front views, front images are enough.
  • Caimera does not merge your front and back photos into one garment. Each view is referenced separately for its own poses.

Shoot your front and back views under identical lighting. Because the two views are processed independently, different lighting will produce a colour mismatch between them — even when each view matches its own input.

How to Use

Step 1: Open Catalog Tool from the Home page, or Catalog Images from the sidebar, and start a new job.

Step 1: Open\u00A0Catalog\u00A0Tool

Step 2: On the Catalog tool homepage, you’ll see the history of all your previous catalog generations. You can filter your jobs by time, creator, and the settings used for each generation.

Click Create New Job to start a new catalog job.

Step 2: Create New Job

Step 3: Select your model, background, and poses. This is a linear selection process, and all three are customizable.

Poses are used for pose diversity and demographic representation only. Selecting a pose shown with a male, female, or child model will not change the gender or type of model you selected.

Step 3: Select your model, background, and poses

Step 3.1: Select your background

Step 3.2: Select your poses and expression

Step 4: Add your outfits. Use the toggle to switch between Dress and Top + Bottom and upload the product images for each outfit.

Step 4: Add your outfits

You can add outfits manually or use Upload folder to add multiple outfits at once. Simply download the sample folder, organize your images into the required structure, add your captions, and upload the folder.

Step 4.1: Add your outfits by Uploading folder

Step 4.2: Add your outfits using folder

Step 5: Once you’ve added all your outfits and images, click Review products. This gives you a complete overview of your product selections, styling, models, poses, and the estimated credit cost before you run the job.

Step 5: Review products

Catalog generation costs 10 credits per image, so the total depends on the number of outfits and poses you select. If you need to make changes, click Back; otherwise, confirm and Run Job.

Step 5: Run Job

Step 6: Once the job starts, you’ll see an estimated generation time. You can continue working in other parts of Caimera while your catalog images are being generated.

Since Bulk Catalog processes multiple images at once, it may take a little longer than a single-image generation. You’ll receive an email notification and an in-app audio notification when the job is complete.

Step 6: Timer

Step 7: Once generated, all your catalog images will be available together in one place for easy review.

Pro tip: Don’t have styling elements in mind? Caimera also provides default products you can use to create clean, general styling without needing to source additional products.

Caimera plays a soft piano note when a job finishes, so you can switch tabs and let the sound bring you back. A bulk job chimes once when the whole job lands. Turn it off under Settings → Notifications → Sounds.

Step 7: Complete Catalog Job

How many products per image?

You can style up to 3 of your own products in one image — top, bottom and footwear.

Credits

  • You are charged per generated image, not per product: 10 credits per image.
  • Example: 4 poses × 2 outfits = 8 images = 80 credits.
  • Regenerations are free — you get 3 per image.
  • Edit with prompt is free.
  • A Photoshop / post-production edit costs 30 credits per image.

Fixing an image you do not like

  • Regenerate: click the arrow icon at the top right of the image. You get 3 free regenerations.

Regenerate Feature

  • Edit with prompt: write a short, keyword-led instruction to change the pose, change the fit of the garment, add an accessory, change the hairstyle or footwear, or fix hands.

Edit with prompt Feature

  • Attach references to an edit: open Edit with prompt and attach up to two reference images alongside your instruction — a colorway, a print, a fabric swatch or a detail shot — and the edit follows them, not just your wording. Upload from your computer, paste straight in, or pull one from your Library.

Edit with prompt using reference images

  • Request a Photoshop edit: click Request Post Production Edit in the right sidebar (30 credits per image).

Rerunning a job

Hover any job on the Catalog Images page and click the copy icon, or use Duplicate as draft in the job details panel. Name the copy and you get a new draft with the model, poses, background, outfits and settings carried over — ready to tweak before running. It works on finished, failed and draft jobs, and the original is untouched.

Downloading Images

When you download from a bulk job you control the naming and contents:

  • rename the main folder (the job name)
  • rename outfits / products with the edit icon on any outfit chip — the custom name is used in the file names
  • toggle keep original file names instead
  • choose which image types to include: Upscaled, Regular and Relighted

The Download button is a split button — use the arrow to send images straight to Google Drive, GlobalEdit or Bynder instead of your disk.
