How to achieve maximum product accuracy in Editorial Images

Create product imagery that accurately represents items from your catalog using the Editorial Image tool.

While the Editorial Image tool generates your product in the base image, understanding when and how to use the Apply Product feature is key to achieving maximum accuracy. Use this feature whenever small details or garment elements are missing to ensure your product is represented correctly.

In this article, you'll learn how to introduce a product into an image using the 'Apply Product' tool on Editorial Images (Fluid). if your garment is highly detailed or you notice that the image generated has softened certain design elements (such as stitching, trims, or structure), you can use the Apply Product feature to correct and reinforce those details. This ensures your product is represented as accurately as possible.

If you’d like to style multiple products together, you can still do so using the Apply Product button. This option has now been moved to the toolbox on the left side denoted by the Hanger Icon, as highlighted in the screenshot below.

Step 1: Navigate to 'Apply Product' button, located on the left side toolbar of the generated image, its represented by hanger icon. Start by selecting the product you want to introduce into the image. In this case, we'd generated using a shirt as product, so you can choose any image of the product shirt.

Step 2: You.ou can use the Brush icon to manually draw a mask over a specific area if you need more control or just use the Auto Mask option. Once you’re satisfied with the mask, click on the Apply Product button to proceed.

Step 4: If you want to style and apply a different product along with the current one you can do that as well. Select the product from the Apply product section.

Step 5: Edit the mask if needed, making it bigger if necessary. It's okay if it bleeds onto the background. If the mask seems incorrect or hasn't covered your entire garment, edit the mask using the Brush tool. Use the Erase tool to erase the mask if needed.

Check/Edit the mask for your newly selected product

Do not mask over hands or toes, this can distort the hands and toes and will require manual post-production correction later

Step 6: From the 'Apply Product' input image gallery, select a product image with a pose similar to the pose and framing of the channel generated image. The fewer changes the AI has to make, the more accurate the product will be. If you're working with a front view of the product, choose a front view product image. If your generated image showcases the back view of the product, choose a back view product image to 'Apply Product' with.
