# How to Add Existing Clips to your Video Generations

Using your existing clips is one of the most efficient ways to elevate your content without starting from scratch. 

The **Clips** feature allows you to repurpose previously created video segments and combine them into a single, cohesive video. Instead of generating new content from scratch, you can leverage your existing Caimera library to save both time and credits.

Pull from your video history, arrange clips on the timeline, and export a polished final cut in just a few steps.

### Getting Started: Access Your Clips Library

**Step 1:** Navigate to the **Video tool** from the home page.

**Step 2:**  Navigate to the video you want to build on and edit in the **'History'** section.

**Step 3:** Click the **Clips button** located in the left-hand toolbar to open your library.

**Step 4:** Browse the panel and select the clip you want to add

### How to Add Clips to Your Timeline

Adding clips lets you build a narrative by layering in previously generated content.

1. Scroll through your library in the left-hand panel to find the assets you need.
2. Click on a specific clip to add it. Once selected, the clip will automatically appear in the **Timeline section** at the bottom. Simply, click on a clip and drag it to a new position on the timeline to change its order.

### How to Scale and Reposition Clips

You can adjust how a clip fits within your video frame to ensure the focus remains on the right details.

* **To Reposition:** Click on the clip within the video preview and drag it to your desired spot.
* **To Scale:** Click and drag the edges of the frame to scale the clip up or down.

### Preview and Download: Finalize Your Video

Before exporting, scrub through your full sequence to make sure everything flows the way you want.

**Step 1:** Click the clips bar at the bottom of the screen.

**Step 2:** Use the **red scrubber line** to move through the timeline and preview your combined sequence.

**Step 3:** Once satisfied, click **'Download'** in the top-right corner to save your final video.

The Download button opens a small options popover with an **Add AI disclosure watermark** option. Tick it to bake a discreet text label into the MP4, marking the video as AI-generated as required by the EU AI Act. The label defaults to "AI Generated/Synthetic Person" and is editable to match the wording your market requires.

|| **Note:** On the Free plan, generated media carries a small "Generated on Caimera" mark, and video downloads from watermarked workspaces include the mark too.
